7 DAY TOURS

Here is a little sample 7 day break we have made up to give you an idea of the wealth of things to do and see in the Strathspey and Cairngorm National park region .

Day 1 - arrive, unwind, relax, prepare for the day ahead, enjoy candlelit dinner, perhaps a liqueur, a short romantic stroll and then a great nights sleep

Day 2 - a day featuring plenty of gentle activity and local interest –– might be some gentle country walking in the morning, followed by an afternoon visit to the Speyside Osprey or Heather Centre, a trip on the Cairngorm funicular, or the Stratshpey steam railway

Day 3 - might be a castles and whisky day. After an early breakfast head for the Grampian Malt Whisky and Castle trails. Castles in the morning, stop for lunch then visit some distilleries in the afternoon.

Day 4 - a good day trip – perhaps to Royal Deeside and Balmoral via the spectacular Tomintoul road, or a delightful drive via Laggan through the heart of Monarch Country to Spean Bridge then on to Fort William, Ben N evis and Glencoe, or perhaps north to Loch Ness and Inverness, returning via Aviemore.

Day 5 - something for the men something for the ladies – e.g. some local golf and/or fishing for the gents, shopping (perhaps a trip south to the House of Bruar) and a spot of lunch out for the ladies

Day 6 - more ‘hard knuckle’ or adventure perhaps – e.g. Watersports at Loch Insh, mini highland Games at Rothiemurchus. For the family – go karting at Aviemore?

Day 7 - a cultural and wildlife experience – e.g. visits to the local Highland Folk and Wildlife Museums, and the Landmark Heritage Park, followed by little cocktail party and farewell dinner by candlelght

Day 8 - Breakfast and a fond farewell
