Why Kingussie?
Situated in the heart of beautiful Strathspey in the Highlands of Scotland, the charming highland village of Kingussie is the perfect centre to enjoy the glorious Highland countryside. Activity rich, superbly relaxing, liberally laced with local highland character ranging from great shinty to superb rivers, mountains, lochs and glens.

This area has been made world famous as MONARCH COUNTRY, the setting for the BBC series "Monarch of the Glen".

Kingussie, with the dramatic backdrop of the often snowcapped Cairngorm mountains, has been a holiday destination since Victorian times, yet it remains remarkably unspoilt. With a picture postcard golf course. And a mile from Kingussie stands the impressive ruins of Ruthven Barracks which provides a timeless reminder of the Jacobite Rebellion.

Our perhaps more illustrious neighbouring towns and villages include Aviemore, Newtonmore, Grantown, Boat of Garten - and Carrbridge which is fairly rediscovering its erstwhile popularity. All very much worth a visit.
